Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in spacecraft GN&C, orbital mechanics, mission analysis, or spacecraft operations.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or C++ for modeling and analysis.
• Working knowledge of attitude dynamics, orbital mechanics, and mission-analysis principles.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, document results, and communicate engineering findings.

Responsibilities

• Support GN&C and mission-design requirements analyses, models, and products.
• Develop and maintain spacecraft modeling/simulation tools using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or C++.
• Execute attitude, orbit, trajectory, and 6-DoF simulations to evaluate performance.
• Perform trajectory and orbital analyses for feasibility studies and mission planning.
• Evaluate pointing accuracy, attitude knowledge, maneuver performance, and navigation performance.
• Support software-in-the-loop, Monte Carlo, and regression-testing verification methods.
• Assist with tests of GN&C sensors, actuators, flight software, and interfaces.
• Contribute to trade studies on trajectories, orbit selection, and mission operations.
• Prepare analysis results and presentations for NASA customers and stakeholders.
