Job summary

Aegis Aerospace seeks a Guidance, Navigation, and Mission Design Engineer to support NASA at Kennedy Space Center, FL. You will contribute to GN&C analysis, modeling, and mission design for lunar and deep-space concepts. The role requires 3+ years of GN&C experience, strong programming in Python and MATLAB, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines with NASA teams and contractors.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant GNC and Mission Design experience outside of academia.
• Experience in spacecraft GN&C, orbital mechanics, and mission analysis.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or C++ for engineering analyses.
• US citizenship and ability to pass a government background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop spacecraft GN&C and mission-design requirements, analyses, models, and products.
• Develop, modify, and maintain spacecraft modeling and simulation tools.
• Execute attitude, orbit, trajectory, and 6-DoF simulations for performance evaluation.
• Perform trajectory and orbital analyses for feasibility studies and mission planning.
• Coordinate with NASA and contractor teams across GN&C, mission design, flight software, and systems engineering.
• Prepare analysis results and technical presentations for NASA customers and stakeholders.
