Job description

The GMP Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean working environment that meets the standards of (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practices. This position will coordinate and perform all required daily, weekly, and monthly cleanings in the manufacturing facility for rooms and critical equipment. The role involves working in a production environment with exposure to GMP cleaning chemicals and other hazards. Additional responsibilities include organizing storage areas, routine inventory of consumable items, and re-stocking supplies.

Pay: $20.50 per hour - $21.50 per hour

The listed pay is the hourly range or rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data alignment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work shifts covering a 24/7 production operation
• Previous experience cleaning in a Life Sciences, Hospital, Pharma, or lab setting preferred; on-the-job training will be provided
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in oral and written communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate instructions effectively in English, read, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Experience cleaning in an Aseptic Pharmaceutical, Lab, Hospital, or Food manufacturing environment (regulated by GMP standards) or relevant cleaning experience
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Basic computer skills for entering information related to job tasks

Responsibilities:

• Completing GMP documentation including records and logbooks
• Complying with health, safety, and environmental responsibilities
• Cleaning and sanitizing core operations equipment throughout the facility
• Performing thorough cleaning of all production areas daily
• Maintaining cleanliness of walls, tables, floors, countertops, etc.
• Handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste responsibly
• Following SOPs and scopes of work to ensure 100% compliance

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 40 lbs. routinely and occasionally
• Clarity of vision, including color distinction
• Perform activities with repetitive overhead actions
• May require medical testing as per Occupational Health Program

Work Environment:

• Must wear appropriate PPE
• Work in a clean room environment
• Availability to work weekends or as scheduled by management
• Exposure to noise, equipment hazards, chemicals, Hazmat, solvents, pathogens, allergens, and odors in a production setting

Paid in-depth, on-the-job, computer-based, and instructor-led training will be provided for the first 2-4 weeks. Opportunities for advancement into leadership roles with higher wages are available for qualified candidates.
