Job summary

Actalent is seeking a GMP Operations Senior Scientist in Columbus, OH, focused on fill/finish for biological products and cell/gene therapy materials. You will lead GMP production activities, manage timelines, coordinate personnel, and ensure compliant, cost‑effective manufacturing with strong documentation.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, adherence to batch records and SOPs, and collaboration with GMP management to drive improvements and maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Four‑year degree in life sciences or Master’s preferred.
• 3 years of relevant GMP/bioprocessing experience with a four‑year degree, or 1 year with a Master’s.
• Experience with cell culture, mammalian systems, aseptic technique, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily GMP manufacturing operations for biological products.
• Guide staff on batch records, SOPs, and QMS alignment.
• Plan and execute work to meet production goals with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate, timely GMP documentation and data.
• Collaborate with GMP management on continuous improvement initiatives.
