Job summary

Actalent is seeking a GMP Scientist II to lead and support GMP operations within a Clinical Manufacturing Facility in Columbus, OH. The role combines hands-on bioprocessing leadership with documentation, training, and continuous improvement responsibilities in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate has a life sciences degree with 3+ years in GMP settings, strong mammalian cell culture skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a four-year degree or 1 year with a Master's degree.
• Experience in GMP/GLP environments preferred with strong bioprocessing knowledge.
• Background in cellular/gene therapy manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead GMP operations and production activities in the Clinical Manufacturing Facility.
• Coordinate production activities and maintain complete batch documentation.
• Supervise staff and ensure adherence to SOPs and quality systems.
• Collaborate with GMP Management to drive continuous improvement and compliance.
• Support supply chain activities by material planning and inventory control.
• Ensure audit readiness through accurate documentation and data integrity.
