Job summary

Merck is seeking a Senior Technician (Process) to provide front-line process leadership for packaging operations. You will coordinate line activities, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring cGMP compliance and accurate documentation.

You will operate and setup equipment, monitor performance, perform troubleshooting, and coach staff on good documentation practices. This is a 3rd shift role with a focus on first-time quality and on-time batch release.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing facility.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in GMP manufacturing or packaging.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule adherence.
• Serve as process SME for assigned operations (e.g., TOCS, Re-packaging, Batch Notes).
• Ensure accuracy and flow of critical production information and documentation.
• Perform visual inspections and line clearance, troubleshoot equipment/process issues.
• Apply root cause analysis to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Provide SAP/MES operational support and collaborate with Quality and Maintenance.
