Job summary

Cec Facilities Llc is seeking a Job Cost Accountant in Irving, TX to manage and analyze project financials for GMP contracts. The role emphasizes accurate job costing, contract compliance, and timely client billings in a construction environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years in construction accounting, strong GMP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems (COINS/Sage 300 CRE/Viewpoint/Procore) and advanced Excel. Collaboration with PMs and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–6 years of construction accounting experience, exposure to GMP or cost-plus contracts.
• Strong understanding of job cost accounting and related processes.
• Experience with construction ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of AIA billing formats (G702/G703) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor detailed job cost records for multiple GMP projects.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress billings with SOV, lien waivers, and docs.
• Track project costs against GMP budgets, identify variances and opportunities.
• Manage cost allocations, commitments, subcontracts, and change orders in the system.
• Ensure contract compliance, including allowable costs, contingencies, and fees.
• Reconcile project costs to GL and support month/year-end closes.
• Support audits with GMP billing documentation and contract compliance.
• Monitor retainage, subcontractor payments, and lien releases for controls.
• Identify process improvements for job costing and billing efficiency.
• Perform other related duties to support department operations.
