Job summary

Onkos Surgical is seeking a Process Technician to perform chemical and physical part manufacture, analysis, and data collection in a GMP manufacturing environment. The role requires strong chemistry knowledge and precise data handling.

Responsibilities include sample prep, instrument operation, QC monitoring, and thorough documentation. A B.S. in a chemistry-related field and GMP/GLP experience are expected, with safety and teamwork emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in GMP and GLP practices.
Strong understanding of chemical principles and laboratory techniques.
Proficiency operating laboratory instruments.
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
Computer literacy for data analysis and report generation.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare chemical samples for analysis by weighing, measuring, diluting, and mixing chemicals according to established procedures.
Using GLP and GMP prepare production implants using organic chemistry procedures and specialized fixturing.
Operate and maintain various laboratory instruments like spectrophotometers, microscopes, FTIR, pH meters, and balances, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses using established techniques like titration, spectroscopy, and chromatography.
Precisely record production data, including observations, measurements, and calculations, maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks or production shop travelers, guide sheets, data logs using GMP and GDP foundations.
Monitor and implement quality control measures dictated by Quality System Manuals to ensure accuracy and reliability of results, identifying and reporting any discrepancies.
Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous chemicals, waste disposal, and personal protective equipment usage.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment, identifying and reporting any malfunctioning instruments.
Prepare clear and concise laboratory reports, documenting experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
