Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a GME Program Coordinator Team Lead for the MCVP Psychiatry division. The role manages assigned residency or fellowship programs and leads onboarding of new coordinators to ensure consistency and cross-coverage of duties.

The Team Lead supports day-to-day operations, mentors staff, and collaborates with leadership to drive process improvements while maintaining adherence to VCU Health and ACGME standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GME program coordination experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and train others.
• Knowledge of ACGME standards and institutional accreditation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and GME software.

Responsibilities

• Provide full administrative support for assigned GME program(s) ensuring compliance with VCU Health and ACGME standards.
• Lead onboarding and training for new coordinators, including development of training plans and materials.
• Mentor staff and support transitions for new team members.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and implement improvements.
• Facilitate cross-training to ensure seamless coverage across programs.
• Maintain documentation and workflows to support standardized practices.
• Coordinate weekly coordinator meetings to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor team performance to maintain compliance with deadlines and program needs.
