Job summary

VCU Health is seeking a senior GME Program Coordinator Team Lead to oversee assigned residency or fellowship programs and to drive onboarding for new coordinators. The role emphasizes mentoring, cross-training, and process standardization across the GME team.

The Team Lead will collaborate with leadership to improve training, ensure compliance with ACGME standards, and manage day-to-day operations for a small group of coordinators.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience in GME program coordination or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; certifications in GME are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train others.

Responsibilities

• Provide full administrative support for assigned GME program(s) ensuring compliance with VCU Health and ACGME standards.
• Lead onboarding and training for new coordinators, including development of training plans and materials.
• Mentor team members and coordinate cross-training to ensure seamless coverage across programs.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and implement improvements.
• Coordinate weekly coordinator meetings to track deadlines and program needs.
• Maintain documentation/workflows to support standardized practices and compliance.
• Participate in committees or initiatives to improve GME operations and reporting.
