Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Medical Education Program Department Manager to support Graduate Medical Education at UPMC Shadyside. The role collaborates with physicians, trainees, and program leadership to manage operations and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

The position involves processing residency tasks in Med Hub, maintaining credentialing documentation, coordinating meetings, and developing recruitment materials for a virtual landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating accredited medical education programs.

Responsibilities

• Use Residency Management system (Med Hub) to complete tasks such as entering rotation schedules and documenting PTO/LOAs.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for accreditation requirements (ACGME, ASHP, CODA or CPME) and board requirements.
• Coordinate APOR documentation and support site visits.
• Monitor trainee, rotation, faculty, and program evaluations with timely feedback.
• Coordinate PEC and CCC meetings, prepare materials and minutes.
• Develop recruitment resources (brochures, slides, websites) and support virtual recruitment efforts.
• Build relationships among trainees, program leadership, hospital administration, and ME central team.
• Attend ME sponsored meetings and implement process changes as needed.
• Plan and execute live/virtual meetings, events, and orientations.
• Onboard incoming trainees with credentialing, licensing, visas, and hire paperwork.
