Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a GME Program Coordinator to oversee the accredited residency and fellowship programs within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. You will coordinate administration, manage daily operations, and act as a liaison with learners, faculty, and staff to support excellence in medical education and patient care.

Under the Program Director's guidance, you will design processes, track evaluations, and ensure compliance with ACGME and related bodies.

Qualifications

• Leadership and personnel management abilities are required.
• Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and deadline-driven work.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative person for the GME residency/fellowship program; manage daily operations and liaise with learners, faculty and ACGME.
• Assist Program Director in designing and managing administrative/academic operations; coordinate educational activities (didactic conferences, Grand Rounds).
• Design and report timely evaluations via RMS; coordinate accreditation activities including ACGME site visits and internal reviews.
• Assist with resident/fellow recruitment and appointment processes in coordination with GME policies.
• Plan program quality improvement projects; manage Program Letters of Agreement with participating institutions.
• Maintain relationships with Office of GME; organize and schedule events; prepare materials for conferences.
