Responsibilities include safely and efficiently operating forklift and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transfer materials and products without causing damage within the warehouse or to delivery trucks. Ensure all items are received according to procedure and stocked in designated locations. Maintain inventory and prepare cycle counts. Complete will call orders and ensure timely and accurate paperwork and transaction entries. Proper PPE and uniforms must be worn at all times during each shift. Maintain warehouse and forklift by following good housekeeping and safety procedures, including pre- and post-shift forklift inspections, and report any concerns immediately. Assist customers and customer service representatives as needed. Follow standard operating procedures, established work processes, and company policies. Perform additional tasks as required.
Nature and Scope: Takes direction from lead/supervisor and works within well-defined instructions.
Knowledge & Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills; high attention to detail; basic computer skills for data entry, report generation, and order processing; ability to operate forklift safely; ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment; ability to pass Prove It and driving tests; eligible to be forklift certified within 30 days; dependable, team-oriented, and able to establish positive relationships with employees and customers; capable of working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
Experience: At least 1 year of warehouse/logistics experience; 1+ year of industrial forklift experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Must perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations; pass pre-employment physical.
