How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Position Title: Warehouse Associate / Backup Delivery Driver (CDL A)

Shift: Monday - Friday

Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet, with most vehicles under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology.

As the "face of Airgas," the Branch Associate/Backup Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch. This includes loading, unloading, delivering, and returning gas cylinders while interacting with customers. Additionally, the role supports safe and orderly stocking, storing, and labeling of incoming materials and supplies at the warehouse for future redistribution. The position also involves picking, packing, and distributing materials for delivery via outside carriers or local Airgas drivers.

Responsibilities include:

1. Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations, record deliveries, and obtain signatures. Collect and return empty cylinders.
2. Establish and maintain good customer relations, addressing service inquiries and complaints.
3. Provide timely communication to management or sales associates regarding customer issues.
4. Perform cylinder inspections per operating procedures.
5. Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring regulatory compliance (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA, SAFECOR).
6. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensuring safety.
7. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
8. Lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly; transport and move up to 800 pounds with equipment.
9. Work in warehouse or on dock as needed.

Are you a MATCH?

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A Driver's license and Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire).
• At least one year of Class A professional driving experience within the last four years with a clean record.
• Experience or diploma from driving school considered in lieu of experience.
• Two years of warehouse experience operating forklifts preferred.
• Basic PC skills, familiarity with onboard computers/telematics.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience operating forklifts preferred.
• Commitment to safety programs and regulations.
