Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader in the United States to drive guest experience and sales in the GM department. The role leads hourly team members, coaches staff, and ensures inventory accuracy while upholding Target’s standards and safety policies.

You will manage daily tasks, prioritize workloads, and collaborate with leaders to deliver a consistent guest experience and achieve store goals. A high school diploma and 18+ age are required.

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Lead and hold others accountable.

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
• Ensure every team member is trained and delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments.
• Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experiences.
• Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities and drive results.
• Lead daily/weekly workload to deliver department store sales goals and guest engagement.
• Educate the team on operations affecting inventory, profitability and stock levels.
• Assist with development and coaching to close skill gaps and build a strong talent pool.
• Support guests by meeting safety, pricing, and policy requirements while maintaining a clean store.
