Job summary

Vista Investments seeks a hands-on General Manager for the Vagabond Inn Sacramento, which is converting to City Express by Marriott Sacramento Old Town. You will operate the hotel through the renovation, maintaining service and revenue while coordinating with contractors and the brand team.

As conversion progresses, you will prepare the property and staff for City Express standards, systems, and certification, then lead operations post-conversion with a focus on guest satisfaction and budget

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive hotel management experience.
2+ years as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
Experience managing during a renovation, brand conversion or opening.
Strong command of P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting and revenue management.
Experience hiring, training and leading a team.
Clear communication with guests, staff, owners, contractors and brand partners.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations during the renovation to keep service, cleanliness and safety on standard.
Protect revenue as rooms and public areas come offline by managing inventory, pricing and group commitments.
Communicate with guests and maintain online ratings during renovations.
Collaborate with Vista's development team and contractors on phasing and life-safety matters.
Identify leaders who will grow into City Express roles and keep the team engaged.
