Job summary

SA Recycling in southern Texas is seeking a General Manager to oversee Commercial Sales, Safety, Environmental, Operations, and Transportation. Experience in ferrous and nonferrous processing is required and the GM will coordinate site layout, supervise staff, manage inventory, and monitor market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business or related field.
• 5 years of progressively responsible management in fast-paced operations.
• Experience in ferrous and nonferrous processing preferred.
• Strong financial management and P&L responsibilities.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operation layout and oversee safety, environmental, and transportation functions.
• Provide exceptional service to suppliers and visit supplier sites as needed.
• Lead daily safety meetings, tailgates, and safety investigations.
• Manage inventory levels, staffing, and training to ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to maximize profitability.
• Supervise staff and ensure adherence to state and federal labor codes.
• Maintain housekeeping and organize materials for efficient space use.
