External SA Recycling in Texas seeks a General Manager for our Northern Texas region, overseeing yard operations, safety, sales, and profitability. The role requires ferrous and nonferrous processing experience, a business degree, and at least 5 years of management leadership.

You will drive production planning, procurement, budgeting, and a safety-first culture while managing customer and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management in metal recycling or related industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Ferrous and Non Ferrous processing and production experience.
• 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in fast-paced operations.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to motivate employees and promote safety and quality.

Responsabilités

• Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day facility operations, including production, planning, logistics, and inventory control; ensure SLAs, quality, and production standards.
• Safety & Compliance: Develop and enforce safety procedures; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations; safeguard employees and assets.
• Financial Performance: Manage yard budget, analyze financial reports, monitor P&L, identify cost reductions and profitability opportunities.
• Sales & Procurement: Lead commercial efforts, purchase ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals, build supplier and customer relationships.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse, safety-focused team.
