Job summary

Grieco Automotive Group in Lauderhill, FL is seeking a professional, positive GM Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and service GM vehicles. You are expected to maintain a strong work ethic, communicate clearly with customers and teammates, and stay current with evolving automotive technology.

Qualifications

• GM dealer experience preferred
• Must read and explain diagnoses to customers when required
• 2 years GM dealer experience
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and teammates
• Execute repairs on GM vehicles under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Test-drive vehicles and inspect engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension and brakes
• Keep the service department organized and clean
• Communicate problems to store management as they occur
• Read and comprehend instructions and information

Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Must have GMIN Number
  
• 2 Years in GM Dealer Experience
• Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other teammates and customers when required.
• Execute repairs on GM vehicles under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• General automobile knowledge on various manufacturers.
• Test-drive vehicles, test components and systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in-order to stay abreast with the ever rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintains an organized and clean service department.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate solutions to others.
• Any other duties assigned

• CDK knowledge is helpful

Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Automotive Service Tech Experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to bend, stoop, kneel and lift to at least 50lbs.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, and MVR.
