Job summary

Novartis seeks an Executive Director, Product Strategy Lead to oversee integrated product strategies for a therapeutic indication in the US, reporting to the General Manager.

Location is East Hanover, NJ or Cambridge, MA with no remote work and travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.You will partner with Marketing, Sales, Patient Support, Market Access, Insights, Decision Science and Medical to optimize resource allocation, manage P&L for the product, and align global and local

Qualifications

• 10+ years in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with cross-functional experience.
• 3+ years of direct responsibility for large budget management including owning key product trade-off decisions.
• 3+ years leading and translating an integrated product strategy requiring global and local alignment.
• US Market launch and product lifecycle experience or General Manager experience in other countries.

Responsibilities

• Define integrated priorities and key impact measures for assigned product/indication in consultation with the cross-functional product strategy team.
• Integrate, lead, measure and take decisive action against KPIs to raise product impact.
• Contribute to the product/indication P&L while enabling partner functions to manage day-to-day resources.
• Contribute to topline results as an outcome of strategic choices.
• Guide integrated cross-functional resource allocation to deliver highest impact.
• Coordinate KPI management across all functions accountable for the strategy.
• Partner with functional heads in trade-off decisions.
• Collaborate with other General Managers and Product Strategy team for enterprise decisions.
