2nd and Charles in Matthews, NC is seeking a General Manager in Training to oversee daily store operations under the guidance of the General Manager, aiming to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

The GMIT program prepares you for a store leadership role, with responsibilities including scheduling, staff development, merchandising, and delivering exceptional service while building community relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business-related field preferred.
• Experience supervising a team and managing store operations is desirable.
• Strong decision-making, merchandising, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading and operating the store per policy.
• Operates the store as Manager On-Duty with the management team.
• Plans, organizes, and directs store activities under the General Manager.
• Ensures highest level of customer service and handles complaints.
• Trains and develops Associates and Leads.
• Coaches and develops the Management staff.
• Facilitates effective communication through briefings and meetings.
• Assists in creating store schedules for adequate coverage.
