Job summary

Apex Service Partners in Minnesota offers a GM in Training program designed to develop leaders ready to run a home services business. You will train with established General Managers in the Minneapolis or Duluth market, gaining hands-on exposure to operations, finance, and people leadership.

You'll relocate within Minnesota as opportunities arise, build teams across HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services, and advance toward a future General Manager role with a growth-oriented, national platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading teams in service/operations or fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to develop teams, drive execution, and lead through change.
• Strong business acumen with quantitative decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Train under an experienced General Manager and learn Apex's operating playbook.
• Lead a department's day-to-day operations and own performance.
• Develop and execute growth, profitability, and operational strategies.
• Gain hands-on experience across HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical service operations.
• Deliver a gold standard customer experience through coaching and data-driven decisions.
• Build high-performing teams through leadership, development, and engagement.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and talent development initiatives.
• Learn budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and P&L accountability.
• Partner with leaders to identify opportunities and drive growth initiatives.
• Serve as a visible hands-on leader with a strong presence in the business.
• Develop skills to lead a location as a future General Manager.
