Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking seasoned leaders for its General Manager - Management Trainee Program. The program trains you across operations, finance, customer service, and sales strategy to prepare you to lead a branch.

You'll shadow current leaders, develop budgeting and P&L skills, and relocate to fit company needs. Upon completion you can take full operational leadership as General Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades is highly preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and performance-based management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Willingness to relocate to branch locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in comprehensive training on operations, finance, customer service, sales strategy, and leadership.
• Shadow leaders and take on increasing responsibility across business functions.
• Learn to manage branch-level P&L, hiring, customer satisfaction, and performance metrics.
• Lead by example to build a culture of accountability, excellence, and safety.
• Prepare to assume General Manager duties after training completion.
