Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Columbia, SC is seeking a General Manager to lead our store operations and drive both DIY and professional customer sales. You will oversee hiring, coaching, scheduling, and performance management while ensuring inventory accuracy and service standards.

The role emphasizes building strong customer relationships, profitability, and compliance with company policies. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ASE certification is a plus, with a working schedule of 50–55 hours per week

Qualifications

• Requires 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10–20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, parts knowledge, and ability to troubleshoot.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; ASE certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships/sales; build and hold team accountable to action plans.
• Recruiting, hiring, development, performance management, coaching, scheduling and engagement of store team members.
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards.
• Coach team members to deliver on customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Store manager on duty responsibilities including safety, open/close duties, and floor management.
