C. Harper Auto Group is seeking a GM Certified Master Technician to join our Vernon, PA area team. You will perform precise repairs, diagnose complex vehicle issues, and service GM models with leadership in mind.

The role offers a sign-on bonus, a modern 28-bay shop, and opportunities for professional growth. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive tech, PA inspections, and ASE certification preference.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years as an automotive technician, with a strong background in GM vehicles preferred.
• PA State Inspection and Emissions Licenses are required.
• ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Precision repairs adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Advanced diagnostics using state-of-the-art tools to identify issues.
• Repair and maintenance of engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to update customers on repairs and time estimates.
• Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain meticulous records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.

Key Responsibilities:

• Precision Repairs: Efficiently complete all tasks specified on repair orders, adhering strictly to dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Advanced Diagnostics: Conduct thorough diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues.
• Comprehensive System Repairs: Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide array of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Customer Communication: Collaborate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about necessary repairs and provide accurate time estimates.
• Warranty Repairs: Execute warranty repairs in strict accordance with manufacturer guidelines and specifications.
• Accurate Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all repairs, maintenance work performed, and parts utilized.
• Safe Work Environment: Uphold a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with all safety regulations.
• Technical Mastery: Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing education and training.
• Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with fellow technicians and service staff to deliver the highest level of customer service.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years as an automotive technician, with a strong background in GM vehicles preferred.
• Licenses: PA State Inspection and Emissions Licenses are required.
• Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues across various makes and models.
• Attention to Detail: A demonstrated commitment to precision and delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Efficiency: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering timely and efficient service.
• Certifications: ASE certification is preferred but not required.
• Training: Willingness to engage in continuous learning and manufacturer-sponsored training provided by C. Harper Auto Group.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GM Certification: Previous experience with General Motors vehicles is highly advantageous.
• OEM Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with OEM standards and procedures is a plus.
