Job summary

Asana is seeking a detail-oriented Workplace Design Lead to own global workplace design and project execution. Based in San Francisco with an office-centric hybrid schedule, you will report to the Head of Global Workplace & Real Estate and drive both short- and long-term projects to support Asana's global expansion.

The role requires 6–8+ years in space planning, interior design, and PM, a Bachelor's in a related field, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of experience in space planning, interior design, and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related technical field.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with SketchUp or OfficeSpace is a plus.
• Strong cross-functional communication and global vendor management.
• Meticulous planner and problem-solver who can manage multiple projects under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of all new office builds, construction, and reconfigurations across global spaces.
• Develop, maintain, and implement workplace design standards across all office locations.
• Collaborate with local Workplace leads to ensure design alignment and high end-user satisfaction.
• Oversee design-related purchasing including global furniture vendor management and procurement.
• Source local furniture and environmental branding vendors globally and maintain a directory.
• Manage project budgets, CAPEX and OPEX cost roll-ups and annual financial tracking.
• Oversee occupancy and space planning, deliver monthly analytics and occupancy projections.
• Drive desk moves and department relocations; train site leads and space captains.
