Job summary

Pridgeon and Clay Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to design, install, and maintain our global network infrastructure and data center services in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

You will work on WAN, VPN, firewalls, VOIP, and server virtualization across multiple platforms to ensure high performance and reliability. The role requires a 4-year degree with 5+ years of IT experience, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree in a computer-related field with 5+ years IT industry experience
• Global WAN infrastructure knowledge and Cisco networking experience required
• Microsoft Exchange and/or SQL experience required
• Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support required
• Knowledge of Virtual Machine/Thin Client implementation(s) required
• Knowledge of network security through VPN and Firewalls required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a global enterprise environment
• Ability to respond to end-user installation, maintenance and equipment issues as required
• Demonstrated growth potential and learning for future roles

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of Internet basics (DNS, IP Routing, VPN, Email Routing)
• Operate and maintain global data centers and operating systems (VMware, Linux, Windows Server)
• Configure Cisco Firewalls, VPN concentrators and security appliances
• Design and configure switching environments
• Design and configure wireless networks supporting voice/video
• Assist in IP address schemes, DNS and WINS
• Configure and install client/server network software
• Strive to meet business objectives and measurable results
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
