Job summary

Cobalt is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead a global team of engineers building the world's most powerful AI-driven offensive security platform. Reporting to the CTO, you will work with product management to execute technology initiatives supporting rapid growth.

You will hire, mentor, and coach across multiple time zones, define technical vision, and drive best practices for security, reliability, and scalability using Ruby on Rails, React, Node.js, and cloud-native stacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT/EE or related field.
• 15+ years in software development with 5+ years SaaS cybersecurity product experience.
• Strong multi-cloud engineering experience.
• Experience establishing AI-assisted development standards and tooling.
• Proven ability to recruit, mentor and retain engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, manage, mentor, and coach a global engineering team.
• Own improvements of existing offerings and build out new products.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on cross-functional initiatives.
• Own technical vision and architecture for scale, stability, and security.
• Drive adoption of best practices in engineering and AI-powered tooling.
• Develop strategies to improve quality and efficiency using AI and Agile.
