Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a transformative leader to guide a global software and data engineering organization from its Phoenix base. The role focuses on building scalable data platforms, defining risk-aware data strategies, and delivering high-impact technical investments across the business.

You will collaborate with senior sales and data leaders, manage cross-functional roadmaps, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement to propel organizational success and innovation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proven expertise in cloud technology and building big data solutions (ETL, Spark, Data Lake)
• Experience creating scalable data strategies to unlock data’s value via AI and advanced analytics
• Experience leading high performing engineering organizations and growing talent
• Self‑starter that can create clarity from ambiguity
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate up and down leadership levels
• Experience understanding distributed system architectures and driving technical strategy
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Lead a global organization of software and data engineers
• Create a culture of continuous improvement and a focus on success within your organization
• Be a trusted partner for senior commercial sales and data leaders to balance co-creating strategic direction, delivering projects and supporting efficient, forward-looking technical investment
• Drive the technical data platform and data risk management strategies
• Partner deeply cross functionally across technology and product teams to creatively problem solve and clear blockers
