Job summary

Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a Voice and Unified Communications Engineer in Columbus, Ohio to provide technical services, ensuring effective problem resolution and operational performance. The individual will maintain existing voice platforms and support transitions to Unified Communications platforms.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in voice/network administration, Cisco IPT accreditation, and familiarity with VoIP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' in-depth experience in voice and network administration, preferably within a law firm and/or professional services environment.
• Good level of proficiency in network protocols, design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of supporting IP and UC systems.
• Excellent knowledge of SIP, implementing Session Border Controllers and PSTN SIP trunking.
• Cisco IPT accreditation (CCNA/CCNP Collaboration).
• Demonstrated knowledge of supporting a WAN and LAN network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, administer and troubleshoot the Firm's existing Voice platforms.
• Support transitions to Unified Communications platforms, including design, testing, configuration and deployment.
• Monitor the health of the voice and UC infrastructure using monitoring tools.
• Assess the platform for security vulnerabilities and manage the remediation.
• Prepare and maintain technical platform related documentation.
