Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated in Somerville, MA, seeks a Visa Specialist to manage J-1 and H-1B visa requests, guiding departments and visa holders through the sponsorship process while ensuring federal compliance.

You will collaborate with HR Operations and international scholars to support onboarding through employment, participate in orientation programs, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration rules. Hybrid work with onsite duties at Assembly Row is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with immigration services, international education, or global mobility.
• Knowledge of J-1 and H-1B regulations and best practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage J-1 visa requests for research fellows and graduate student trainees.
• Process J-1 amendments, extensions, and internal transfers.
• Support H-1B sponsorships including LCAs, Form I-129, and USCIS tracking.
• Provide guidance to departments and international visa holders on sponsorship processes.
• Participate in new employee and scholar orientation programs.
• Maintain current knowledge of immigration regulations and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records with multiple priorities.
• Perform other immigration-related duties as assigned.
