Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Vendor Management for Worldwide Grocery Stores - Growth & Development in Chicago. You will own contract negotiations, set the terms, and lead the RFP lifecycle across 600+ locations, ensuring value, risk control, and policy alignment.

You will leverage data to drive spend visibility, protect the business, and scale frameworks while partnering with Legal, Facilities, and Procurement to strengthen vendor relationships and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• 5+ years in a procurement organization, performing vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding experience.
• Experience managing and negotiating contracts and vendor relationships.
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to inform business decisions with proven business impact.
• Experience developing, reviewing, and managing Statements of Work (SOW), including defining project scope, deliverables, timelines, and criteria for construction or facilities projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract negotiations and manage the full RFP lifecycle for R&M trades.
• Own the Rate Increase Validation Process - formalizing and strengthening the evaluation mechanism that ensures every vendor rate increase request is reviewed against consistent legitimacy criteria and market benchmarks.
• Maintain 100% contract status visibility for all active R&M vendors - tracking expiration timelines, renewal requirements, and compliance across Corrigo.
• Partner with Facilities Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure preventive maintenance configurations in Corrigo align with contracted scopes of work, SLA requirements, and program standards.
• Lead business reviews with Indirect Procurement and Facilities leadership - facilitating alignment on contract priorities, RFP activity, and vendor cost trends.
• Own and continuously evolve the RFP Process framework, including timelines, Scope of Work (SOW) review with stakeholders, RFP Abstract templates, and the Vendor Management/Indirect Procurement stakeholder RACI.
• Own portfolio-level spend analysis and vendor performance monitoring to identify cost-saving opportunities - bringing the contract compliance, rate benchmarking, and spend trend data that Indirect Procurement cannot fully replicate - and partnering with IP and Strategic Procurement to validate findings and drive action.
