Job summary

Amazon in Arlington, VA is seeking a Vendor Manager to own P&L for multiple large vendors, drive annual negotiations, and align strategic priorities with marketing and supply chain. The role requires data-driven decision making, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Excel and data analysis.
• 5+ years in retail, operations, product or program management with negotiations and delivering results.
• Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
• Knowledge of Excel and extracting data through varied reporting tools to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the P&L for multiple large vendors with a focus on growing customer baskets, building forecasts, and increasing category share as well as improving vendor profitability.
• Develop strategic relationships and joint business plans with suppliers to ensure insights into new trends and products, exclusive access to items, and promotional investments.
• Drive winning negotiations and represent Amazon in meetings with vendor senior leadership.
• Lead a cross-functional team including Marketing, Instock, Merchandising, and Advertising to drive vendor results.
• Continuously audit to improve the customer experience and business performance.
