Job summary

Lucid Motors in Newark, CA is seeking a Homologation Engineer for our Primary Safety team. You will interpret and document global regulatory requirements and lead in-house testing to demonstrate compliance across chassis, dynamics and ADAS systems.

The role requires strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and collaboration with regulatory authorities and internal teams. Travel domestically and possibly internationally; a US driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and regulatory practices.
• Willingness to travel domestically; valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, document, and cascade regulatory requirements to cross-functional engineering teams.
• Create and maintain regulatory application documents for different markets.
• Conduct and support in-house and third-party regulatory testing for vehicle systems and functions.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and internal teams on chassis, active safety, and ADAS systems.
• Support ISO 26262 and ISO 21448/SOTIF compliance activities related to approvals and market access.
• Track changes and ensure timely reporting; participate in homologation program management.
