Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an experienced camera hardware engineer to evaluate image sensor prototypes, lead partner collaborations, and define integration specs for camera modules. The role focuses on sensor-to-vehicle communication, hardware validation, and production readiness across Lucid's ADAS initiatives.

You will work with cross-functional teams, support calibration efforts, and contribute to the safety and performance of Lucid's driver-assistance systems at our Newark, CA locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in camera hardware development, prototyping, testing, and lab validation.
• Experience in camera module design principles and image quality fundamentals.
• Experience designing/performing laboratory experiments for camera testing.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical / EMC validation testing.
• Familiarity with automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN networks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate capabilities of state-of-the-art image sensor prototypes.
• Lead manufacturing partners on camera hardware design evaluation, prototyping, qualification, and production bring up.
• Develop camera requirements and specifications for design, test, and manufacturing of camera modules.
• Define signals exchanged between sensors and vehicle systems.
• Vehicle-level verification, validation, and tuning of sensor hardware.
