Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking a Global Channel Billing and Payment Manager to own usage-based billing and receivables operations. You’ll work at the intersection of Finance, Product, Engineering, and Data to ensure complete and accurate billing through to accounts receivable and cash.

This role emphasizes data analysis, automation, and strong controls, including SOX compliance and end-to-end reconciliation. You’ll shape scalable processes for a PAYG billing environment at scale.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience in Billing Operations or related function.
• Experience with usage-based or high-volume billing models is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies across multiple systems and identify root causes.
• Understanding of billing, AR, reconciliation, and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Own operational billing processes for usage-based customers.
• Manage billing setup, configurations, payment requirements, and account information.
• Monitor usage-to-bill lifecycle and ensure accurate billing.
• Perform usage-to-billing reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor billing exceptions, failed events, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Finance to resolve issues.
• Manage receivables, aging, collections, and unapplied cash.
• Investigate billing disputes and drive timely resolutions.
• Support month-end close and AR reconciliations.
• Define and monitor operational metrics for billing.
• Identify automation opportunities across billing processes.
