Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Treasury Manager to own global treasury operations, including cash management, payments, bank account management, forecasting, controls, and reporting. This individual contributor role will build scalable processes and AI-enabled workflows to support a rapidly growing global business.

Based in San Francisco, the role follows a hybrid model with 3 days in the office per week and relocation assistance for new hires.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of progressive treasury experience.
• Experience across cash management, payments, bank administration, reconciliations, controls.
• Experience in a high-growth, global environment.
• Ability to build or automate operational workflows at scale.
• Experience using AI, data tools, or automation to improve scale.
• Excellent written communication to document procedures and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own core global treasury operations including cash positioning, payments, bank accounts, forecasting, and reporting.
• Coordinate intercompany funding, settlements, LC, guarantees, and related accounting handoffs.
• Automate and scale treasury workflows for requests, approvals, payment tracking, KYC, and access reviews.
• Identify pain points and risks; translate into process and technology improvements.
• Leverage AI, ERP, bank platforms, and data tools to improve monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain SOPs, controls, KPI dashboards, and audit-ready documentation.
