Job summary

American Airlines in Phoenix is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to service aircraft, perform inspections, and certify airworthiness in accordance with manuals and references.

You'll work outdoors in all weather, rotate shifts including weekends, and maintain strict safety standards. This role requires an A&P license, FAA compliance, and the ability to coordinate with Crew Chiefs and teammates to keep our fleet safe and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Airframe and Power Plant license required.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather per safety guidelines.
• Willing to work extra hours during weather delays.
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to pass FAA background checks and obtain security badges.
• DOT drug and alcohol testing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Service aircraft and perform maintenance to maintain airworthiness.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance inspections.
• Sign flight or airworthiness releases and maintain manuals.
• Connect/remove ground power and start units; assist with towing.
• Maintain forms, records and reports; perform FOD walks.
• Coordinate with crew and adhere to safety procedures.
