Job summary

GAL AeroStaff is seeking experienced Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics with an active Inspection Authorization to support maintenance for flight school aircraft in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and ensuring airworthiness per FAA regulations.

Ideal candidates hold an A&P license with IA and have a minimum of three years of general aviation maintenance experience. Reading manuals and maintaining thorough documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A&P license and IA required.
• Active FAA Inspection Authorization required.
• 3+ years of general aviation maintenance experience as an A&P Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school and general aviation aircraft.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft per FAA regulations.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, and airworthiness directives.
• Complete aircraft logbook entries and release for return to service.
