Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Transformer Component Engineer to provide technical support for transmission and distribution transformers and associated monitoring equipment. The role involves evaluating test data, troubleshooting components, and guiding field service teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer for OEMs, facilities, or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of power transformers, monitoring and auxiliary equipment, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, repair, and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Transformer Field Service organization for power transformers and monitoring equipment.
• Evaluate transformer test data and field assessments; develop technical recommendations and root-cause analyses.
• Offer on-site and virtual support to field teams and customers, including troubleshooting, installation, testing, and training.
• Develop field service procedures, work instructions, and technical reports; ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with factories, engineering, management, sales, and customers to resolve discrepancies and drive quality.
