Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Transformer Component Engineer to provide technical engineering support to the Transformer Field Service organization. The role involves evaluating test data, troubleshooting components, and delivering on-site and remote support to customers and field teams.

Travel about 25% (including international) and collaboration with factories, engineering, and project teams are expected. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering is required, with 2+ years of field service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as a Field Service Engineer in OEM/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of transformers, monitoring and auxiliary equipment, and testing.
• Experience programming SEL relays and troubleshooting related hardware.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe Pro; able to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical field support for transformer monitoring and auxiliary components.
• Evaluate transformer condition using test data and reports; develop recommendations.
• Deliver on-site and virtual technical support to field service teams and customers.
• Develop field service procedures, work instructions, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with factories, engineering, sales, and customers to resolve discrepancies.
• Promote safety culture and provide 24/7 technical assistance when required.
