Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Counsel, Transactions and Market Compliance to serve as a senior legal expert and strategic advisor across Corporate Development, Supply Chain, Product Development, Finance, and senior leadership. This role focuses on proactive counseling for major U.S.

and cross-border transactions, including M&As, divestitures, and JVs. This role leads strategy, drafting, and negotiation with counterparties worldwide, mentors a team of attorneys, and aligns legal advice

Qualifications

• Education: JD from an accredited law school with active U.S. state bar admission.
• Experience: 15+ years leading complex commercial transactions and advising senior leadership.
• Leadership: proven ability to mentor attorneys and manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal workstream on domestic and international M&A, divestitures, carve-outs, minority investments, collaborations, and JV activities.
• Draft, structure, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements and transaction documents.
• Lead transactions involving Ford’s global supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Advise senior management on transaction risk, governance, and execution strategy, including post-closing integration.
• Develop templates, playbooks, and precedent libraries to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Coordinate cross-functional legal teams and oversee outside counsel budgets and quality.
