Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is hiring a Lead Technical Advisor for Global Trade. The role focuses on ITAR/EAR compliance, classification of hardware, software and data, and training of a large TA community across divisions.

You will translate export regulations into engineering processes and coordinate with the Director of Global Trade. Based in the Redondo Beach area (or other Space locations), you will mentor engineers, lead cross-functional teams, and help ensure secure, compliant export

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 10 years OR PhD with 8 years.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR regulations as pertaining to export/import licensing.
• Experience providing training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Preferred: Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
• Knowledge of space-related products and subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the sector-level TA for Space Global Trade.
• Lead sector in TA-related activities and training.
• Mentor the Space TA Community of 100+ members across divisions.
• Translate export requirements into compliant processes for engineering workflows.
• Conduct jurisdiction and classification determinations for sector hardware, software and technology.
• Support export licenses and compliance with ITAR/EAR processes.
• Provide training on interpretation of export regulations.
