Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Global Trade Lead Technical Advisor (TA) – Level 5 in Space Systems Sector. The role oversees sector TA activities, including training and cross-functional collaboration, while ensuring export compliance in engineering processes.

This position requires strong ITAR/EAR knowledge and a track record in Global Trade leadership. The candidate will mentor a large TA community, translate complex export rules into practical procedures, and interact with multiple engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with extensive professional experience, or advanced degrees with related years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and related export/import regulations.
• Experience providing training to diverse audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the sector TA for Space Global Trade under guidance from the Director of Global Trade.
• Lead TA-related activities including training and TA program representation at events.
• Select and mentor TA assignments from engineering disciplines.
• Maintain cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Corporate and other functions.
• Lead Space TA Community of 100+ trained TAs with guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Translate export regulations into embedded processes ensuring compliance in design and proposals.
• Conduct jurisdiction and classification determinations with ITAR/EAR frameworks.
