Job summary

BBVA in New York is seeking an Associate for the Global Trade Finance BE team. You will serve as the primary liaison between Front and Back office, handling the execution and post-sale service of trade products with emphasis on SBLCs and documentary credits.

You will review documentation, monitor profitability, and coordinate with Compliance, Audit and Operations while maintaining accuracy and timely communication. Requirements include 2–3 years in Global Trade Finance and English fluency.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in Global Trade Finance.
• Proficient in SBLC language review and drafting SBLCs.
• Understanding of the ISP and UCP rules.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field.
• Fluent in English; Spanish preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with credit approval and documentation process.
• Proactive and detail-oriented; works independently.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation for new facilities and transactions per checklists.
• Monitor profitability and ensure transactions meet Front Office approvals.
• Coordinate with Compliance/Audit/Operations; monitor deals and reports.
