Job summary

Kraft Heinz, Inc. is seeking a Trade & Customs Compliance Manager to lead trade compliance for North America within the Global Indirect Tax Team. You will partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Controllership to align trade operations with business objectives.

You will own trade data, manage audits, supervise broker relationships, and drive cost-saving opportunities across customs compliance programs. This is a senior, cross-functional role based in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in international trade, finance, tax or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations and audit defense.
• Strong understanding of US and CA import entry procedures for all transport modes.
• Experience with CBP ACE portal functionality and CBSA CARM Client Portal.
• Certified Customs Specialist and/or Licensed Customs Broker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce trade compliance policies, procedures, controls, and record-keeping.
• Oversee HTS classification, country of origin, tariff application, and documentation.
• Act as the North American SME for customs compliance and regulations.
• Manage audits by customs authorities and business units; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain broker relationships and respond to government inquiries.
• Identify savings opportunities related to customs compliance (FTZ, duty deferral, origin, FTAs).
• Own trade master data and trade management tools (e.g., SAP GTS, Oracle GTM).
• Provide guidance and training on trade compliance to internal teams.
