Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Trade Compliance Coordinator to support the efficient movement of goods worldwide from our Ellenwood, GA area office. You will ensure legal compliance and administer import/export control while coordinating with customers, forwarders, and customs officials.

This role emphasizes service, accuracy, and regulatory awareness. You will monitor regulatory requirements, advise on restrictions, manage tickets and SLAs, and help drive process improvements within a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
• 1–3 years related experience in customs compliance operations preferred.
• Understanding of international trade and incoterms and supply chain impacts.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication skills.
• Ability to triage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
• Review shipping documents and invoices for import/export accuracy.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and advise on import/export restrictions.
• Track operational metrics and meet SLAs.
• Support projects and implementation of new initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and follow up on issues.
