Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead complex trade compliance and international trade engagements. You will guide clients through regulatory complexities, oversee deliverables, and shape operating models for managed services.

The role requires deep expertise in customs, FTZs, export controls, sanctions, and related regimes, with leadership across cross‑functional teams and client relationships. Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in trade compliance, international trade, customs, or regulatory consulting.
• Experience leading complex, multi‑jurisdictional client engagements while maintaining technical depth.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. and global customs laws, tariff classification, valuation, and origin rules.
• Experience managing customs broker relationships and importer‑of‑record activities.
• Licensing or certifications such as CCS, CES, or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple high‑impact, global client engagements with strategic, operational, and financial accountability.
• Provide authoritative guidance on trade compliance matters, including US/international laws and export controls.
• Serve as senior technical advisor and final quality control authority for high‑risk analyses and deliverables.
• Establish standardized methodologies, controls, and QA processes across engagements.
• Direct and mentor Directors, Managers, and project teams to ensure technical standards and timelines.
