Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Director with 12+ years of trade compliance and international trade experience to lead complex client engagements and ensure regulatory compliance across Trade Services.

The role requires deep expertise in customs, tariff mitigation, FTZs, export controls and sanctions, plus hands‑on leadership of operating models and managed services, delivering practical guidance to clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in trade compliance and international trade.
• Experience leading multi-jurisdiction client engagements.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. and global customs laws and export controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple high‑impact, global client engagements with strategic, operational, and financial accountability.
• Provide authoritative guidance on complex trade compliance matters, including customs laws, export controls, sanctions and sourcing regulations.
• Serve as senior technical advisor and final quality‑control authority for analyses, filings, and advisory deliverables.
• Establish and improve standardized methods, controls and QA processes across engagements.
• Mentor and performance‑manage Directors, Managers, and project teams to meet standards and timelines.
• Oversee trade compliance operating models including importer-of-record services, broker management, and post-entry processes.
