Larson Maddox is seeking a Director, International Trade Compliance and Sanctions in Philadelphia, PA to serve as the lead advisor on global trade compliance and sanctions matters across 100+ business units.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Counsel, this role partners with business and legal leaders to manage export controls, sanctions, customs, anti-corruption, and regulatory compliance risks while leveraging AI tools for productivity.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership.
• 15+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Deep expertise in global trade compliance, including export controls, sanctions, customs, and anti-corruption laws.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, quality, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Advise on export controls (ITAR, EAR), sanctions (OFAC), customs, and anti-corruption matters.
• Develop and deliver global compliance training programs and maintain related policies and guidance.
• Conduct trade compliance audits and assessments with Legal Department teams.
• Manage government inquiries, subpoenas, investigations, disclosures, and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Oversee trade compliance systems and monitoring tools.
• Support M&A and strategic transactions through due diligence.
• Collaborate to update compliance documentation and negotiate related provisions in agreements.
